This inviting getaway is deeply rooted in history. Originally built for the Henke family in the 1918. Now, it’s a place where families and friends come together to celebrate milestones or simply reconnect surrounded by the beauty of Hill Country.

Just one block from Main Street, Pecan Haus is a well-loved symbol on historic W Austin Street. Though the home has retained many of its old-world charms, it’s been updated to offer completely contemporary living spaces. Perhaps the most beloved of which is the open kitchen.

With a massive center island, refined dining space, and full suite of appliances, the kitchen area is an entertainer’s paradise. It flows seamlessly into a sun-dappled living area with a large flat-screen TV.

Stop to smell the flowers on your way out to the yard, where you can spend a lazy afternoon at home relaxing in the pool, playing yard games or take in the warmth of the fireplace. And when it’s time to turn in, you’ll have three king-size bedrooms, a queen-size bedroom, four twin beds and a sleeper sofa to choose from.

Another reason our guests love this home: it’s just a short stroll to vibrant Main Street. Looking to discover your new favorite Hill Country wine? You’ll find many tasting rooms within a 5-10 minute walk. Ready to indulge in local cuisine? From southern cafes to fine dining establishments, it’s all a short stroll away. And don’t forget that you’re within minutes of Fredericksburg’s famed Old German Bakery—pick up a German pastry and enjoy it with sunshine at the Marktplatz picnic gardens.
